2018 Stewardship Campaign Update

Dear LPC Family and Friends,

We are coming to the close of our Stewardship Campaign for 2018. Stewardship is an important part of Presbyterian life and the gifts that you pledge each year help the LPC community maintain all those wonderful things that we have come to expect as members of the Lamington Presbyterian Church. We rely on members to give us an idea of what they plan to give by pledging a weekly or annual amount for 2018. This allows us to plan for what we can maintain for the year. Through the creative talents of our volunteer Treasurer Lori Larsen, we have kept our budget static at $300,000 for 2018.

As of March 9, 2018:
      - we have 134 family units
      - 64 family units have pledged a total of $197,577
      - This represents 47.8% of the church units
      - We have met 65.9% of the 2018 budget target ($300,000)
      - The gap is $102,423

If you have not had a chance to send in a pledge, please help us get to our target and have at least 60% of church families pledge. No amount is too small or too big, and we will accept pledges in many different ways, as long as it is in writing. You can mail in the pledge cards we provide, drop them in the collection, or simply write your name and weekly or annual pledge on a bit of paper and give it to one of the Finance committee members. We will accept emails (lamingtonchurch@gmail.com), snail mail, tweets or instagram posts—anything that shows your commitment to our wonderful community. (Reminder: You can also pledge online through our website—click on "click here for Online Giving" to the right of this page.)

Many thanks,

The LPC Finance & Stewardship Committee:
Angus Miller & Lori Larsen, Co-Chairs
Molly Falk, Mary Fazzini, John Marshall, Gail Martin, Greg Mistele, Georgie Schley and Hunter Lewis

Gifts for our Gift-Giving God!

Our responsibility as Christians is to use the gifts of God to serve the world. Fundamentally, LPC is a congregation who offer these gifts to God as a community in worship.  We do recognize, however, that sometimes it is helpful to have tools that encourage giving in alternative ways. Therefore, we have included a safe way for members and friends of LPC to offer their gifts electronically. Please  click here for Online Giving and offer your tithes, pledges, and special gifts.

Time & Talent--Another Way To Give
Counters Needed
We need help. You will be trained by an experienced “counter” and will not work alone. We normally count after worship and it takes about an hour. If you are interested or have questions, contact Molly Falk after church or at (908) 840-4161.
Flowers For The Sanctuary
All are welcome to place flowers on the Communion Table for services. You may bring your own, have a florist deliver them or we can order them for you. We welcome an arrangement of just greens, a potted plant or a vase of cut flowers. You may want to remember or recognize a special event, a family member(s) or a friend. Please call Nancy Hance at (908) 439-3755 with questions and to reserve a Sunday.
Sunday Liturgists
A wonderful way to participate in Sunday worship is by volunteering to read scripture. If you are interested, please contact Regina in the church office at (908) 572-7013, or email at lamingtonchurch@gmail.com.
Coffee Hour Host/Hostess
Each member/family at Lamington Church has been invited to host/hostess a Sunday coffee hour. A postcard reminder will be sent sometime before you are scheduled. If you are unable to host/hostess on your assigned day, please call Debby Johnson. Debby can be reached by phone at (908) 832-7230 or email at debrabjohnson@gmail.com.
